More recently the Eagles have struck-out with the signings of Jevon Kearse and Darren Howard.
With all the hype surrounding the Asante Samuel signing, the addition of DE/LB Chris Clemons this off-season may have gotten overlooked.
Last year with the Raiders, Clemons had his break-out year and recorded eight sacks in a part-time role. The Eagles believe that Clemons is going to be a force opposite Trent Cole for many years to come. Clemons brings nice speed off of the edge and should form a nice end rotation with Parker and Abiamiri.
Clemons can play DE in a 4-3, drop back to LB in a 3-4, or play the role of a third-down pass rush specialist. Now we just have to hope he is more Fuller or Douglas, and less Kearse or Howard!
