Westbrook Gets New Deal, T.O. Is An Idiot

Well after 24 hours of speculation that a new deal was imminent, it is now official...Brian Westbrook and the Eagles have agreed to a new deal.

The specifics of the deal are still unknown, but if Westbrook agreed to the deal and is happy with the deal well that is enough for me. Despite my many urges to Eagles Management I am pretty sure Westbrook will not be throwing any greenbacks my way.

The Eagles willingness to rework Westbrook's deal makes one wonder would the Eagles have done the same for Terrell Owens if he would of just shut his pie hole and not acted like such an ass?

Westbrook's new deal shows us that the Eagles are willing to redo a contract if they feel that a player has outperformed their current deal. Wouldn't it of been easy to argue that T.O. had also outperformed his contract?

Oh well, I guess we will never know. TO acted like a baby, Rosenhaus like a rat, T.O. was suspended, and the McNabb to TO combination went bye-bye!

Congrats to Westbrook...you more than earned it.

***And good news comes in three...Westbrook gets a new deal, preseason opener tonight, and Shawn Andrews got his doctor's OK to report to Eagles camp as early as Sunday***

Totally different cases. TO never received any encouragement from Eagles management about reworking contract. Westbrook received overtures and offers all along, albeit not to his liking. TO was convinced Eagles would cut him after Year 2 since his contract would escalate greatly in Year 3 and it wasn't guaranteed. He was after a guaranteed Year 3 (or reasonable facsimile). Banner was full of sh*t when he claimed after TO signed Dallas deal that TO "would've earned more" with Eagles. Deceptive comment Joe - that was not a *guaranteed* Year 3.

THAT FIRST COMMENT IS 100% CORRECT,THE TEAM SHOULD HAVE DONE A BETTER DEAL WITH MORE SECURITY AFTER ALL OWENS WAS THE BEST WIDE OUT IN THE GAME AND TEAMED WITH B- WEST MADE THAT OFFENSE GO LIKE I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT GO BEFORE IN 24 YEARS AS A SEASON TICKET HOLDER. LETS NOT FORGET THE NFLPA RECOMMENDED OWENS NOT SIGN THE DEAL AS IT WAS NOT A GOOD DEAL FOR THAT QUAILITY OF PLAYER....OWENS COULD FLAT OUT PLAY THE GAME AND SHOULD STILL BE ON THIS FOOTBALL TEAM.AS FOR JEFF AND JOE YOU ARE A COMPLETE FAILURE WHEN THAT PLAYER(OWENS) GOES TO YOUR BEST DIVISION RIVAL(DALLAS) AND THEY HAVE NOT A SINGLE PROBLEM WITH OWENS,ITS MISTAKES LIKE THIS BY "THE DEUSIONS OF GRANDEUR TWINS" JEFF AND JOE THAT MAKE ME WANT THESE TWO CLOWNS OUT OF MY SPORTS TOWN !
