Time to man-up Vince Young. Time to learn a lesson or two from Donovan McNabb. Time to stop having your mother speak-up for you. It's Nashville, TN. Just imagine playing QB in Philadelphia, PA.
Felicia Young's comments indicate that her son has become tired of all of the negativity being thrown his way after being booed during a 17-10 win Sunday over Jacksonville. "What would you think, if you were tired of being ridiculed and persecuted and talked about and not being treated very well, what would you do? What kind of decision would you make?"
Come on Vince. Do you think you are the first QB to be criticized and booed. Just look at #5 in Philly. His every move is scrutinized despite the fact that he is the franchise's most successful QB ever!
“It was my first time getting booed,’’ Young said. “I didn’t know how to handle that.’’
McNabb may whine a bit too much every now and then, but it has never reached the point of a coach needing to prod the QB to return to a game. This was then followed by a 4 hour police search to locate you on Monday night. Followed then by Felicia's comments.
So Vince suck it up. If you don't want to play QB then quit. But if you are going to stick around, get your head on straight. Criticism comes with the position.
You have no problem taking and cashing those lucrative paychecks. So you should have no problem taking the boos. And just remember, it could the Philly fans after you.
