Regular season predictions for the Eagles range from 8-8 all the way to Dr. Z's 12-4 Super Bowl forecast. Each fan has their own method of madness for reaching their stated team goal.
Well, no surprise, my boss is the anti-Dr. Z. He has our Iggles going 7-9 and of course missing the playoffs. His prediction is based on three questions. Again I disagree with his argument.
- Will Donovan McNabb stay healthy for the entire season? Boss man says No. He is too old, too many injuries already suffered to turn the clock back to the 2003-2004 McNabb. Without McNabb, there is no way the Eagles post better than a .500 record.
- Do the Eagles have anyone that scares the opposition in the red zone?(excluding #5 and #36, as they were on the team last year and the team struggled) Boss man says No. Don't even waste your breath mentioning L.J. Smith. Don't start babbling about a fade to Baskett. We can talk about the fade after they actually run the fade.
- Do the Eagles, outside of Cole, have anyone that scares the opposing QB? Boss man says No. It is scary but the DEs might actually be worse than last year's group. Abiamiri is out at least for the first 3-4 games. Clemons appears to be injury prone. Smith is undersized. Well all saw how much Parker wore down last year as the season progressed. And Howard, well it's Darren Howard.
So based on this criteria a 7-9 record is reached. As much as I hate to admit it, you gotta believe that if #5 goes down, so do all our lofty expectations.

Poor Argument. 9-7 minimum.
I am sure he has the Cowboys going 12-4.
Sucks, but dude may be right on some of those points.
Couldn't the QB argument be made for any team? If Romo goes down, or own of the Manning boys there is no way those teams are playoff boound.
Only agree with point #3. 9-7 0r 10-6. Dr. Z is out of his mind too.
And do you also have McNabb being traded, Reid being fired, and another basement finish?
Stop the Negadelphia attitude. It is Football season, time to be pumped!

Hey, he actually has some "positive" mentions for McNabb :) - "Without McNabb, there is no way the Eagles post better than a .500 record", and "you gotta believe that if #5 goes down, so do all our lofty expectations." Maybe the boss was having a good day!
I think BobbleHead is the boss. Trying to kiss some Eagles butt in case the Eagles do go far in the playoffs. As Petesbewha said, no Cowboy fans in Philly!!
