Tom Brady: Philly Felt Your Pain

Sometimes it is hard not to rejoice when an opposing team looses a star player. It is even harder to control the excitement when the player resides from the Boston area. Hasn't the area won enough already?!? Despite this, I guess best wishes are in order for a speedy recovery to Tom Brady.

And of course anything associated with bad luck, Philly sports can relate.

Think back to September 1, 1991...season opener against the Green Bay Packers. Second quarter, Randall Cunningham is hit by LB Bryce Paup. Cunningham tears both the medial collateral and posterior cruciate ligaments in his left knee. Season over for Cunningham. The Eagles championship-caliber defense no longer had the matching championship-caliber offense. Another season without a Philly Championship.

Hey maybe NE's bad luck, is Philly's good luck and 2008 is the year for the Eagles!

Right, could have just as easy been one of our guys (Knock on Wood!). Hate to see a great player lose the entire season.
