Moving On Up...

The Eagles needed a win and they are flying home with that W. In the end, getting the win was all that mattered this weekend. Next weeks game against the Giants is still an elite match-up.

Sure the Eagles were going against a short-handed Seattle squad, but you can only beat the team that lines up against you. The Eagles got their victory by doing the small things right today (limiting turnovers, sacks, and penalties).

After a slow start (OK, very slow start), McNabb looked like his Pro-Bowl self. The Eagles got an unexpected HUGE game from Brent Celek and Curtis showed everyone that he is fully recovered from his sports hernia injury (and maybe it's just me, but I would rather have Curtis than Roy Williams).

After getting Sheppard out of the game, the Eagles defense was able to hold the Seattle offense scoreless and force 11 punts. Hell, even Akers was able to connect from 40+ yards.

Sure there are still things that need to be corrected. The Eagles again struggled in the red zone and were unable to put away the opposition, eliminating any thoughts of a 2nd half comeback.

But again the Eagles got their W and moved their record to 5-3. More importantly the Eagles moved out of the NFC East basement. Next up are the G-Men, as the Eagles continue their climb toward the top of the NFC East.

And enough of Seattle and the 12th man...the fans at the Linc...that's a real 12th man!
