Quick Start Needed

The Eagles are hot, winners of 5 of their last 6 games. The Giants are losers of 3 of their last 4 games. As mentioned previously, the Eagles should have the momentum going into Sunday's game. But will that be enough? Is a rested body more important?

The best part of being the best? It's a bye week on Wild Card Weekend. Your future opponents are out their killing each other for the chance to play another weekend. You, instead, are home relaxing and healing. So are the Eagles now screwed?

Fatigue could work against the Eagles on Sunday. But their is a solution. Attack the Giants early. The G-Men haven't played a meaningful game in over 2 weeks. There is bound to be some rust in that 1st quarter. The Eagles need to score early. They need at least 10 points on their first three drives. Maybe even a no-huddle offense to start things off. Don't allow the Giants to get into a rhythm.

The Eagles must own the 1st quarter on Sunday because come the 4th quarter the Giants can capitalize on their rest and just wear out the Eagles. The Giants' pass rush and their rushing attack will be much more difficult to stop come the 4th quarter.

Get that early lead. Then if Andy is wise, go to the run with BOTH Buck and Westbrook. Then it's off to Carolina!

I'd like to see a quick start but the Giants always seem to come back on us late in the game. I'd rather just see us stop the run and protect our quarterback (and the ball). If we do that, we should be in a great position to win.
