Ya Gotta Believe - Momentum & Confidence

Games are played on the field, not on paper. All this week the media (maybe even me) are going to stat you death on why the Eagles will win or why the Giants will win. Will the stats or the so-called experts be right with their analysis or picks...by 4:30 Sunday we will have the FINAL answer.

An interesting stat to begin Giants week for this fan. To help build up confidence in the Eagles continuing their miraculous run. To have at least one more week of the Andy Reid Beard...

Going into Sunday's match-up the Giants have lost 3 of their last 4 games. This of course includes the loss to the Eagles.

The last time that the Giants entered the playoffs on such a crap streak was in 2006. The G-Men lost six of their final eight games. Their first-round playoff opponent was the Eagles. The Eagles won the game 23-20 when Akers nailed a last second field goal.

By itself this stat / fact may mean nothing. But one should never underestimate the combination and importance of momentum and confidence. The Eagles have both. The Giants of 2007 had both, the Giants of 2008 only have confidence.

The Eagles are hungry. Would you doubt a B-Dawk lead team this season?!?
